This is the eighth release on the label and it features original material by Dazzle Drums, Wipe The Needle and Stephen Rigmaiden. As ever, the motto is still ‘no fillers‘, with the three musical outfits present here supplying quality tracks that will rock a variety of floors.
Centric Music is now a home from home for the Japanese husband and wife duo of Dazzle Drums. Kei and Nagi Sugano have released singles on the label in the shape of Elem and Night Heron, alongside remixing DunnEasy’s Rise Up in fine style. As ever, Dazzle Drums bring another deep effort to the table. When not recording for Centric, you can find the duo recording for labels such as King Street and DJing separately at various spots in Japan.
Wipe The Needle is a London based outfit consisting of Swede Mikael Nybom and Londoner Lee Gomez, who create powerful house music in various flavours. They have released music on labels such as Soundmen on Wax, Slip’n’Slide, Deeply Rooted House, GAMM and Raw Fusion. Keen to work with guest vocalists and musicians, they’ve shared studio time with the likes of Aaron Phiri, Nick Van Gelder, Foremost Poets and Ernesto. Take ‘em Up represents their first production on Centric Music, after previously remixing Bruno Banner’s Champions.
Bay Area based Stephen Rigmaiden brings his Californian take on house to the table. He runs Soso Deep and has been responsible for a slew of cuts and remixes on imprints such as Jellybean Soul, Chez, City Deep and Ocha. This is also his debut solo track for Centric, but Rigmaiden was also responsible for a hypnotic remix of DunnEasy’s Rise Up, the sixth release on the label.
This package shows the strength and depth of three musical outfits associated with Centric Music. Except the full compilation to drop later on this year.
DAZZLE DRUMS - Circle
Circle is a monstrous dancefloor track, where a cheeky key sample holds the power. Heavy drums and a moody bassline also play their part on this surefire winner.
WIPE THE NEEDLE - Take ‘em Up
Take ‘em Up is an insistent effort from WTN. It features acidic keys, dark synth work and sturdy percussion.
STPEHEN RIGMAIDEN - Objekt 5
Objekt 5 is a deep and brooding number, which will draw in dancers and keep them hooked. Layered percussion, a fizzing bassline and lost vocal fragments prove their worth on this satisfying cut.

Designed by the good people at Amsterdam-based boutique Patta, this latest Air Max 1 features a simple color makeup, pairing the use of canvas and mesh uppers on gum outsoles and black/green accents. Along with the clean palette, the kicks also boast Pink Floyd-inspired insoles. Only three pairs are rumored to be in existence and unfortunately a release is highly doubtful to take place.

The classic shape of the 6 inch remains un-changed with “colette blue” integrated into the upper via the laces and heel portions. A debossed colette logo can also be seen on the tongue. Releasing exclusively at colette, the boots will be limited to 40 pairs with a retail price of €235 EUR (approximately $334 USD).

Zevs Arrested in Hong Kong (Interview)
Coming off a recent exhibition opening in Hong Kong, French artist Zevs was caught red handed working up his signature artwork on the walls of a Georgio Armani store. Adding that Chanel logo looks like it might cost the artist a load of cash as the store is requesting an insane amount of compensation for his actions (nearly $6.7 Million HKD). Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” Retro Release
Arguably the most sought after Air Jordan XI of all time has been rumored and confirmed for a comeback in 2009. Originally seen on Michael Jordan’s feet in his 1996 movie Space Jam, the shoe will be dropping as a limited quickstrike release. Release dates are suggested for Friday, November 27th, 2009 with a suggested retail price of $175 USD for the men’s version. Stay tuned for more details as they become available.

Office in the Woods
One of the perks of being an architecture firm such as Spain’s Selgascano is that you get to design yourself an awesome place to work. Check out Selgascano’s “office in the woods,” designed by the company’s Jose Selgas and Lucia Cano. It’s one long, tunnel-like office covered by a curved transparent acrylic window that’s 20 millimeters thick and lets in plenty of natural light. The 110-millimeter-thick opaque wall is made from layers of insulated fiberglass and polyester, and shades the office.
To keep things inside cool, one of the ends of the office is attached to a pulley system and the slab can be raised or lowered, letting in some fresh air. Explore more of the office in the woods below, thanks to the gorgeous photography of Iwan Baan.
